Why Study the Tzolkin System? |

The current Tzolkin cycle is scheduled to end in 2012. Some call it the
end of the world (as we know it), but this is only the end of a
specific cycle of 5125 years. This is not the first, and not likely to
be the last. This ending date, in late 2012, is a time with some
amazing astrological alignments. What will happen? We will see.
Why have I chosen to study and share this particular system? Here are some reasons:
- As individual as we are, we all share some common characteristics.
- Our makeup of characteristics acts as a foundation for our lives.
- We also live in a dense, highly populated environment.
- Sometimes it's about us, sometimes it's about the world.
- It can serve us to understand the ebb and flow of the world, and how it affects us.
- Knowing what is in your toolbox, your strengths and challenges, will serve you.
- Learning to work with the ebb and flow is like using the current to propel you forward.
In early 2008 I began interpreting the Tzolkin calendar each day, and
have been offering this interpretation on one of my blogging venues. I
became more and more aware of the interconnectivity of each day, and
began offering a weekly pdf download with information and insights for
the upcoming week through this blog as a tool for reviewing the week
and identifying the differences between self and global. I find this
tool to be very empowering in my own life, and comments from others
have confirmed this perception.
