The Day You Were Born: Is it a Key to Who You Are? PDF Print E-mail

There are many perspectives we can take in viewing our impact on the world, and the world's impact on who we are.  Many try to find the right answer, but I believe that for full empowerment we must rest somewhere in the middle of it all.  Our actions are important, and we do create our own destiny.  In order to be fully empowered we must also recognize and understand the tools we have for our journey.

Astrology is one of the most popular tools today in the analysis of our life lessons and tools for our journey.  Astrology connects our place of birth, date and time to the alignment of the planets.  Years of research and learning go into the understanding and interpretation of astrology and it’s impact on our lives.

There have been other methods of viewing our traits, personality types, and connectivity to this world.  The Mayan Tzolkin calendar, one of many created by the ancient Mayan cultures, is one of the most honored spiritual calendars in existence.  This calendar is best known for its ending date in 2012.

The Mayan’s believed that there was reason and purpose in the day of birth.  Each day has a tone and glyph combination that defines the strength infused into each person. Many were named for their birth glyph, and assigned roles in the society that honored and expressed those abilities.

Our world expresses itself in cycles, as do we as spiritual beings in this physical plane.  One method I have found to better understand these cycles is through interpretation of the Mayan Tzolkin calendar on a daily basis, therefore I have created Insights for the Day to present concepts and focal points for understanding self and the cycles we create.

For more in-depth focus I recommend the Mayan Birthdate Overview.  This is a full page comprehensive interpretation of the Mayan Glyph and Tone present on your birth date as well as a review of the lessons you have chosen for this lifetime journey.

Our lives are a complex compilation of experiences and interpretations.  Knowing who we are is a big step in knowing where we are heading.  Understanding the tools we have available in our journey can be empowering and enlightening, making this journey one of delight instead of strife.
