This world is overwhelmingly filled with experiences and information. We flow well with the chaos, weaving together our stories in an interactive dance. All the connections and exchanges we create take much of our attention. Most of the time we are focused solely on the day.
There are times when we wonder: what is life all about? Where does this day lead me? When we look at this question on a global level we ask, "where is this world headed?" Could there be an answer, or is the answer right under our nose, hidden in the thoughts we hold right now, in this very moment?

The Spring Equinox is nearly with us, happening March 20th, 2009. It is at this time of the year that the day and the night are in balance, a very Yin Yang concept!
This yearly event is the "kick off" for spring, and it is also the start of the Spring Healing Drum Retreat in Yelm, WA. It's not too late to sign up for this event!!
We will have many fun activities, spiritually enriching while relaxing and playful. Friday night is the drum making class, and there are still kits available for those who wish to make their own resonant healing drum.

According to the Mayan Tzolkin calendar we have begun the next 260 day cycle, just days before the New Year in our traditional calendar. Is there significance to this shift, other than making affirmations and resolutions? The glyphs and numbers point to beginning again on many levels.
The Mayans perceived time as an inward spiral, in a sense speeding up with each cycle. We see this all around us, with our technological changes becoming obsolete before these new creations reach the marketplace. Time speeds up, and the energies of the planet change as well, with a focus on the higher vibrations. What can we do to increase our awareness, and make the best of these changes?
